Humans, similar to the Kin, are not native to Andrus. They are the most recent arrivals to this world.

Many cycles ago, during a particularly dramatic stellar conjunction, a great World Portal opened in Upper Andrus. Humans emerged and began moving across the land encountering Kin and Wild Bloods in the process.

The humans were travelers between worlds, known collectively as Geomancers. They harnessed powerful magic through the precise alignment of celestial bodies in the cosmos to open portals between distant worlds. After a generation of living on Andrus some humans grew weary of their endless journey and decided to remain when the World Gate closed.

According to Ustaran records, celestial conditions do not favor reopening the World Gate.

The humans quickly established their own realms and began to adapt to Andrus. The Ekharis established trade routes and large cities along major routes. The Illiwyth began to build ships to explore the waters surrounding both Upper and Lower Andrus. The Kyne Daas withdrew to the northern wastes establishing trading posts and became formidable warriors. The Ustara settled the Dragon Spine mountains with their Dragon Lords archiving great stores of records and helped develop laws to govern human realms.
