Waer

A combination of the Samsaran and Elan Races

The Waer are planar wanderers with no known home. They delve into unexplored regions of the deep astral and ethereal planes seeking secrets and forgotten lore. Waer Wayfinders are often employed as guides and scouts by other cultures because of their collective knowledge of dark and forgotten places.

Innately attuned between body and mind Waer are innately psionic in nature.

Physical Description

Waer appear similar to humans, with a few notable features.

Their head is always covered in dark hair. Other than their head, they appear to be completely hairless. Their eyes are solid white with no pupils or irises. Stranger still, skin tones are generally shades of light blue.

They typically dress in plain, loose fitting robes with little to no adornment. All Waer appear to be middle aged adults. No Waer children have ever been seen.

Society

Waer maintain no known settlements of any kind. They seem to wander constantly interacting only when an impending event or decision will affect a significant population.

Waer have become entagled with the energies of Andrus through a cycle of reincarnation. When a Waer is killed their body simply dissolves into the surroundings often spawning rapid floral growth. In a few years the same Waer will return to the world, their past a series of disjointed memories.

During the war to free the human slaves many Waer were ripped from this reality and lost forever. This has caused the ancient race to become even more reclusive and cautious leaving the younger races to learn often fatal lessons.

Relations

Waer are on good terms with all other cultures. The mere presence of a Waer seems to calm hostile intentions so they are often invited to negotiations between hostile groups.

Alignment & Religion

Waer tend toward true neutral because they are not ruled by emotions and act as observers to the world. As for religion, no one has ever encountered a Waer priest of any kind and as a culture they never really discuss themselves openly.

Adventurers

Waer don't generally adventure. They do very often happen to be in a place where significant events are happening whether as part of a group or as a mysterious observer from the distance.

Waer usually present themselves as unskilled travelers but, in reality, they have lived numerous lives and thus have access to any number of classes. Favored classes include Monk, Bard and Maje.

Common Names

Waer are given nick names by various cultures but none have ever provided a formal name or title.
